Wera Advent Calendar 2026 Review: 24 Days of Tools for Christmas
Forget chocolate. If you’d rather find a screwdriver, Hex key or LED torch behind your Advent calendar door, the Wera Advent Calendar 2026 may be considerably more exciting.
Wera has turned its annual tool Advent calendar into something of a Christmas tradition, with 24 doors concealing useful tools and accessories rather than disposable novelty gifts.
The Wera 2026 Advent Calendar continues that idea but introduces an especially interesting centrepiece: a battery-powered LED torch shaped like Wera’s distinctive Kraftform screwdriver handle.
Better still, insert a bit and the torch itself becomes a screwdriver.
Add nine screwdriver bits, seven L-keys, a separate Kraftform bit-holding screwdriver, modular storage and the almost obligatory Wera bottle opener, and you’ve got an Advent calendar whose contents should remain useful long after Christmas.

What’s in the Wera Advent Calendar 2026?
There are 24 surprises hidden behind the doors, but the individual pieces combine to form a surprisingly comprehensive compact tool set.

Nine 50mm BiTorsion Bits
The calendar contains nine 50mm screwdriver bits covering several common screw types.
These include bits for slotted, Phillips, Pozidriv, TORX and hexagonal screws.
Wera uses its BiTorsion design on the bits. The torsion zone is intended to absorb peak loads and reduce the likelihood of the tip failing prematurely.
The bits can be used with the included Kraftform screwdriver handle as well as the Flashdriver.
That gives you a useful compact screwdriver set rather than simply a collection of novelty Christmas tools.
Seven Wera Hex-Plus L-Keys
You also get seven metric L-keys, covering:
1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5 and 6mm.

Wera’s Hex-Plus profile is designed to provide a larger contact area inside the screw head. The idea is to reduce the notching effect that can damage or round hex socket screws.

A Proper Kraftform Screwdriver Handle
Although the Flashdriver is the headline feature, you don’t have to use a torch every time you want to tighten a screw.
Wera also includes a conventional Kraftform bit-holding screwdriver with a ¼-inch hex mounting.
Wera’s Kraftform handle shape is designed around ergonomics, combining harder and softer zones to provide grip while allowing the tool to rotate comfortably in the hand.
Combine the handle with the nine included bits and you’ve got a compact screwdriver set for everyday jobs around the house, workshop or garage.
Modular Storage Instead of a Drawer Full of Loose Tools
Another interesting feature of the Wera Advent Calendar 2026 is what happens to everything after you’ve opened the final door.
The torch, bits, L-keys and screwdriver handle fit into four modular holders.
Those holders can then be attached to the included textile Tool-Dock.
So instead of opening 24 doors and eventually throwing everything loose into a toolbox, you end up with an organised tool kit.
The included adapter also allows the modules to connect with components from the wider Wera Modular system.

It wouldn’t feel quite like a Wera Christmas set without one.
The 2026 calendar includes a bottle opener with a ¼-inch hex connection, so it fits into the modular system alongside the actual tools.
Is it essential workshop equipment?
Probably not.
Will it be one of the first things people show their friends after completing the Advent calendar?
Quite possibly.
