Organising a conference can be a great marketing strategy, whether it’s a launch party or a seminar or a networking event. Catering

Food and drinks can help to add an incentive for people coming to your conference. This could be something as simple as coffee and biscuits at a casual conference to something extravagant as champagne and canapes at a more high-end conference. Hiring contract caterers could ensure that you get the best food and drink service for your guests. Certain venues may already be able to supply catering.

Security

If your conference is on an invite-only basis or requires payment to attend, it could be worth hiring some doormen to check people on entry for tickets. Meanwhile, if you have high-profile people attending your conference, professional security may be needed to keep these high-profile people safe.  

Special guests

You may want to promote your event by hiring a few special guests. These could be fellow business owners that can help give a talk and discuss a topic within your field. Alternatively, you may want to hire entertainers such as a band or dancers. Such guests won’t be appropriate in all cases and you may prefer to do away with these bells and whistles. If you are hiring special guests, make sure to contact them early and ensure that they’re attending.
